Reality star, fashion designer, and podcaster, Whitney Port just enjoyed a trip to Cabo with her family. She shared some highlights on Instagram recently. In them, her family is seen enjoying the beach. Port wore a blue patterned swimsuit top and matching pants, showing off her abs. She captioned the post, "Day activities." How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Whitney Port stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.
Port shared some of her skincare secrets with Byrdie. She says that moisturizing and hydration is important to her. "Even though Los Angeles is pretty mild, it still gets a little bit dry here in the winter. For me, it's so important to stay hydrated. Luckily, I haven't had to wear too much makeup and I can just put moisturizer on and let that sit on my skin all day. Like I said, the hydrating mists throughout the day are so good just to keep that moisture in your skin."
Port tells Byrdie that she's trying to work on staying hydrated. One of her solutions is drinking tea. "I don't know, staying hydrated is just something I'm not normally good at but I've been trying to get into tea a lot more. I found this company, Art of Tea, based out of Los Angeles. Their teas are really delicious and they're packaged so cute. I think staying hydrated is easier when there's a little flavor to it and it's still healthy."
Port tells Byrdie that she makes sure to exfoliate her skin, and not just the skin on her face. "Exfoliating once a week is huge, at least for my face. Sometimes I'll put exfoliator on my hands too. We're all washing and sanitizing our hands so much and our hands are getting so dry, so exfoliate the back of your hands and continually apply hand cream. I have next to me right now the Ouai Hand Lotion ($32) at my sink. I use their wash and then just slather it all over."
Port shared her approach to dieting and working out in an interview with HollywoodLife. "I try to live my life completely in moderation. I try to work out three times a week and eat mostly lean proteins, veggies, and fruits but, I also allow myself to enjoy myself when I feel like it! I don't believe in strict diets or limitations. It's all about a healthy balance."
After getting some concerns about her appearance and health on social media, Port addressed them on Instagram. She says that she is working on making her health more a priority. "I eat to live, not the other way around. But after stepping on the scale, it hit me. It's not something I strive for. I always feel hungry but I just don't know what to eat. It's not how I want to look or feel though. My excuses are that I'm too lazy to make feeding myself a priority or I'm too picky when it comes to taste and quality. I don't want to set an unhealthy example so I promised Timmy and I'll promise you that my health will be a priority."
