Apex Legends offers its players a bunch of legends and weapon skins, charms, and more. Among them, weapon and legend skins are the most exquisite and practical as they are easily visible in the game.

Even among the Legendary weapon skins, some skins are more sought after than their counterparts, thanks to their clean iron sights in the game. They are also sometimes referred to as “pay to win” skins because they provide a significant advantage over regular iron sights.

However, Respawn recently announced that they will get rid of all the pay-to-win iron sights from the game “to make things as fair as possible.” Previous rumors were spreading over the Apex Legends community about a Heat Sink recolor coming to the game. Players who didn’t have the skin were eagerly waiting for the recolor. But, nobody expected this to happen.

No More Pay-to-win Iron Sights

With the launch of the Beast of Prey Collection Event, Respawn will put an end to some of the pay-to-win skins in Apex legends. Respawn specifically mentioned the Heat Sink that will get the iron sight nerf. However, according to Respawn’s statement, they’re “further adjusting iron sights on some skins”.

Nonetheless, it is common knowledge for the Apex community that there are also other weapon skins with clean iron sights, including R99, Wingman, and Peacekeeper. So, if Respawn is going for every Pay-to-win skin, these weapon skins will also be affected.

“We believe that any competitive edge in Apex Legends should be gained by honing your skills and not due to any perceived advantages from buying gun skins. As our good friend Kuben Blisk puts it: “You kill me, you’re better. I kill you, I’m better.” We hope players who own these skins will appreciate these improvements and support us as we work to keep Apex Legends fun and fair.” , Respawn mentioned in its recent announcement.

Respawn will also make subtle changes to improve visibility with the Flatline Revelations from Gaiden Event. With that in mind, let’s see the exact changes Respawn is making with the Season 4 Reactive Flatline Battle Pass skin and Revelations skin.

Revelations

Most of the Apex community is unhappy with Respawn’s decision to change the skins with clean iron sights. However, some also think it’s a good change for the game. In any case, it will be exciting to see how this turns out when the update goes live.
