Charles Leclerc is one of the most sought-after Formula One drivers in the paddock. He has often been pegged as the next Ferrari driver to become World Champion. Leclerc first gained a widespread following in his debut F2 season in 2017. He produced some exceptional performances on his way to winning the Formula Two Championship. In 2016, he joined the Ferrari Driver Academy and quickly became the knight in shining armor of Maranello.
He made his Formula One debut in 2018 with Ferrari customer team, Sauber. After just 1 year in the sport, Ferrari decided to promote the wunderkind to the main team. In his first year with the Prancing Horse, he produced stellar performances, frequently outshining his teammate and 4 time World Champion Sebastian Vettel. The Monegasque collected 2 wins in 2019, one of them coming in Monza.
He had his best season in Formula One in 2022, where he finished 2nd to Max Verstappen. Outside the race track, Leclerc drives a stunning Ferrari 488 Pista Spider Special edition which sports red and white Monaco flag racing stripes with #16 on it. The Ferrari driver has often been seen driving around his hometown of Monaco in the marvel of modern engineering. While he may be one of the best racing drivers in the world, he certainly misses the mark when it comes to parking his million-dollar machine.

Fans on the internet freak out over Charles Leclerc’s parking technique
In a recent Twitter thread by @ilpredestinato_, fans can observe Leclerc’s rather odd parking choices. The thread shares pictures of 9 occasions where the Monegasque parked his Ferrari 488 Pista Spider in bizarre positions. In all 9 pictures, Leclerc is seen missing the white lines which indicate the parking area. While most fans were quick to make jokes about the F1 driver’s parking ability, some resorted to the logic that his ‘out of place’ parking was probably a conscious decision.
Some fans reasoned that the Ferrari driver intentionally parked his $1 Million car slightly further away from other vehicles in order to prevent inadvertent scratches or close calls. Although this rationale doesn’t explain why he parked the car at a rather compromising angle, next to a ‘No Parking’ sign in front of a grocery store. Another post shows the Monesgasque’s car parked inside the famous Monaco tunnel, partly mounted on the sidewalk.
While some of these parking violations may have been an issue for the average person, it is unlikely that Monaco’s National Hero will be facing ‘hard time’ for his minor transgressions. Even though he did have his best season in Formula One in 2022, the Ferrari driver will be looking to finish first in 2023 and finally return the elusive Championship glory to Maranello.
