CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CelebrityAccess) — Former No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani and promoter Live Nation are facing a lawsuit from a woman who alleges that she was injured in a stampede at a concert in Charlotte, North Carolina last summer.

In the lawsuit filed last Friday, Lisa Keri Stricklin claims that she sustained serious injuries when Stefani encouraged fans in lawn seating to 'fill up' empty seats in the venue's reserved seating area, closer to the stage.

Stricklin, who was sitting in the reserved seating area, claims that Stefani's exhortations caused a "stampede rush" that led to people "knocking over and breaching security barricades and other security matter."

Stricklin alleges that she sustained "severe" injuries in the crowd press, including a broken tibia that required surgery. She is seeking more than $75,000 from both Stefani and concert producer Live Nation in compensatory damages, citing negligence; as well as unspecified punitive damages.

Representatives for Stefani and Live Nation did not immediately respond to a request for comment. – Staff Writers
