Spring has returned to Walt Disney World! Flowers are blooming, ducklings are hatching and Easter is just around the corner. In honor of the coming of spring, here are six “egg-celent” ways to celebrate the season at the parks.
1. Easter Eggs A-Go-Go
Spring means Easter, and Easter means decorative eggs. However, these aren’t your standard, dipped in vinegar Easter eggs. These have been handcrafted by Disney chefs and each one is a stunning work of art. One is a literal recreation of an artistic masterpiece: Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s Dance at Bougival. There is a Peter Pan-themed egg featuring a golden version of the Jolly Roger, an Aladdin-themed egg which includes a replica of the entrance to the Cave of Wonders, an Alice in Wonderland egg with Alice, the Caterpillar, and the Dormouse, an egg depicting the “Kiss the Girls” scene from The Little Mermaid, and more.

2. Snacks
For me, Easter is inextricably tied to candy: chocolate, cream-filled eggs, jelly beans, and more. Walt Disney World goes all out on the themed snacks every year. This year, there are a lot of bunny bottoms featured in the decorations. It’s absolutely as adorable as it sounds. Here are a few of the highlights this year:
The Thumper Cupcake is a carrot cupcake with cream cheese filling, caramel buttercream, and a chocolate “Thumper” and is available from March 18 through April 5 at Restaurantosaurus in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The Easter Basket is a mango and mixed berry cake, lemon cheesecake with vanilla meringue, marshmallow variations, Kataifi, berry coulis, and mango chantilly. A tiny bunny bottom sticking up in the air decorates the plate next to the Easter basket. It is available April 2 through 5 at Tiffins Restaurant in Animal Kingdom.
The Bunny Mini Dome Cake is coconut ice cream mousse with caramel cream cheese center and carrot cake and available March 28 through April 4 at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs. This dome is essentially a bunny bottom with feet sticking up out of the grass.
The Mini Bunny Cake is a mini carrot cake filled with cream cheese icing and decorated with fondant and buttercream. It is available at the Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary Resort from April 2 through 4.
At the Grand Floridian you can find the Carrot Blondie Pop, a buttery brown sugar cake bar on a lollipop stick decorated like a carrot (available Mar. 18 through April 4), the Bunny Box, a dark chocolate bunny with Easter egg petit cake and foil-wrapped chocolate eggs (available March 18 through April 4), Marshmallow Bunny Tail Pops, jumbo marshmallows dipped in pastel chocolate with spring sprinkles (available March 18 through April 4), The Grand Egg, a white chocolate egg filled with jelly beans (available March 18 through April 4) and more.
These are just a few of the new Easter themed treats found at the parks. There are more than enough goodies to fill an Easter basket the size of Spaceship Earth.
3. Easter Brunch
If you happen to be in the parks on Easter day, you can enjoy a delicious brunch at either Olivia’s Cafe at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, the Ale & Compass Restaurant at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and Whispering Canyon Café at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
Reservations can be made online where you can also view the menus for each brunch.
4. Easter Bunnies
Bunnies are one of the key ingredients in both Spring and Easter. Fortunately, Disney has you covered with this year’s Easter plushies. They feature some of your favorite Disney characters dressed up as the Easter Bunny. There is a Winnie-the Pooh Easter Bunny, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Stitch. You can find these guys at shopdisney.com, so even if you are far away from the parks you can get your hands on a little Disney Magic for Easter.
5. Flower and Garden Festival
Of course, nothing says the return of spring like the blossoming of flowers, and you’ll find all that your heart could desire at the Flower and Garden Festival. The event runs from March 3 through July 5 and features gorgeous topiary displays, gardens, outdoor kitchens, and more. The topiaries, which have been crafted to resemble some favorite Disney characters are masterpieces and worth the price of admission alone. You’ll find characters like Sorcerer Mickey, Woody, Bo Peep, Buzz Lightyear, Anna and Elsa, The Three Caballeros, Snow White, Simba, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, Belle and Beast, Bambi, Tinkerbell, and many more.
6. Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration
Last but not least, you can take part in Spike the Bee’s Scavenger Hunt at Epcot. It costs $8 to participate in the hunt, which will take you around the World Showcase in search of everyone’s favorite Disney bee.
